Silk painting is a beautiful and unique art form that allows me to create vibrant, detailed artwork on silk. I use silk dyes and silk paints, along with sizing, to control the flow of color and create the details in each painting.
I stretch the silk on a wooden frame or PVC pipe frame while painting. Once the painting is complete, I steam-set the silk to help create bright, clear, and lasting colors.
My silk paintings can be displayed in different ways. Some are mounted on canvas for gallery exhibitions, while others are finished as tapestries or decorative wall hangings. Each piece is created by hand, making every silk painting a unique work of art.
